The 5-Star Review Engine

“Course I’ll leave you a review.” Then the kids need picking up and it’s forgotten. We’ll remind them politely for a couple of weeks until they actually do it.

How it works

Ask at the right moment, then get out of the way

The best time to ask is the moment the job is finished and they’re pleased with you. Tap complete and the request goes. If they don’t get round to it, two gentle nudges follow — and stop the second they leave one.

  • One tap to ask, or fully automatic when a job is marked done
  • Sent by text and email, whichever they respond to
  • Direct link straight to your Google review box — no hunting
  • Reminders stop automatically once they’ve reviewed
  • Reply to every review from the same inbox as everything else

“Thanks for having us out today. If you’ve got 30 seconds, a quick Google review really helps a small business like ours.”

The unhappy ones

Bad experiences should reach you, not Google

If someone signals they weren’t happy, the flow routes them to a private message to you instead of straight out to a public review — so you get the chance to put it right first. Most complaints are fixable in a phone call.

You hear about it first

A private note lands with you the same day, while the job is fresh and fixable.

Fix it, then ask again

Sort the problem and you can re-send the request. Recovered customers often leave the warmest reviews.

Honest, not gamed

Nobody is blocked from reviewing you. Anyone can still go to Google directly — and that’s exactly how it should be.

Questions

Worth asking

Is filtering out bad reviews allowed?

We don’t filter anything, and you shouldn’t want us to. Gating reviews so only happy customers can post breaches Google’s policies and UK consumer protection rules, and it can get your profile penalised.

What we do is ask for feedback first. Unhappy customers are offered a private route to you as well as, not instead of, the public one. Everyone keeps the right to leave whatever review they like.

Can I offer a discount for a review?

No, and we won’t set that up. Incentivised reviews breach Google’s terms and UK advertising rules. Asking properly, at the right moment, works better anyway.

How many reminders do people get?

Two by default, three and nine days after the first ask, and everything stops the moment they review or opt out. You can change the timing and the wording, or turn reminders off entirely.

Does it work with Trustpilot or Facebook as well as Google?

Yes. Google is where most local buying decisions get made in the UK, so that’s the default, but you can point requests at Trustpilot, Facebook or a trade directory — or rotate between them.

What about the reviews I’ve already got?

They stay exactly where they are and we pull the best of them onto your website automatically.

Reviews are the cheapest marketing you’ll ever do

They cost nothing, they never stop working, and they decide who gets rung first.
